Shootings, Stabbings, Assault, Electric Shock

There were two stabbings and one shooting from Saturday night to Sunday morning.

According to Bay City News:

-The first stabbing was reported at 11:35 p.m. on Saturday at Harrison and 26th streets.

-The second stabbing was reported at 12:30 a.m. today at 11th and Folsom streets.

-The shooting was reported just after 2 a.m. today in the Glen Park neighborhood at Ney and Trumbull streets.

All the victims were uncooperative and transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries.


A drive-by shooting also occurred Saturday Night,on Alemany Blvd. near Ellsworth Street, but no one was injured.

There was also a deadly assault at a Gaints game Friday night. 18 year-old Taylor Buckley of San Carlos punched 18 year-old Anthony Giraudo of Redwood City. Giraudo fell, and struck his head on the ground, sustaining a brain injury. He died the next day at SFGH. Buckley turned himself in, and is being charged with involuntary manslaughter.

There was a shooting in the Oceanview neighborhood, at 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday. A man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

There was another shooting on Tuesday night, at 8:55 p.m. in Hunters Point. A victim sustained life-threatening injuries when an unknown number of suspects drove up to him and shot him on the the 2800 block of Third Street.

Finally, a suspect was possibly seriously injured around 1 p.m. Saturday, after cutting some 12,000-volt power lines near Lake Merced. The suspect, who was not found, was apparently trying to steal the wires, and in the process of cutting them caused a flash-fire and power outage.

  1. The SFPD number is still 40 homicides year to date. The source that says 42 is wrong.

  2. Bay City News is also reporting that the latest murder is #41. My mistake. I guess that's what I get for relying on the Chronicle...
