SF: 57-YEAR-OLD BEATEN BY MEN IN SOMA ATTACK DIES
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)
A 57-year-old man reportedly assaulted by a group of men Feb. 15 in San Francisco's South of Market district died early this morning, police said today.
The medical examiner's office identified the man today as Peter Azadian, of San Francisco.
According to police, Azadian and another man were walking in the unit block of Stillman Street, between Second and Third streets, at about 3 a.m., when four men began punching and kicking Azadian.
The second victim was able to run away, and the four suspects fled in a sport utility vehicle, according to police.
Azadian was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening injuries, and died at the hospital at 1:38 a.m. today, authorities said.
Police have not released a possible motive for the attack.
