SF: POLICE ARREST NINE FOR FIVE WEEKEND ROBBERIES

San Francisco police arrested nine people, most of them juveniles, for five separate robberies over the weekend, police said today.
One of three men suspected of beating and robbing a 32-year-old city resident early Saturday morning in the South of Market district, 21-year-old Cristino Castillo, of San Francisco, was arrested by a motorcycle officer who witnessed the incident, according to police.
The two other suspects escaped on foot, police said.
Shortly before midnight Saturday, four San Francisco boys ages 15 to 17 were arrested on a Muni bus in an Outer Mission neighborhood after allegedly attacking and robbing a 25-year-old city resident who was waiting for the bus, according to police.
At about 1:15 a.m. Sunday, a 16-year-old boy was taken into custody in the Outer Mission after allegedly punching a 15-year-old and taking his cell phone outside the Balboa Bay Area Rapid Transit station, police said.
The noontime robbery at gunpoint of a 21-year-old city resident the same day in the Bernal Heights neighborhood resulted in the arrests of 14-year-old and 16-year-old boys, while another Bernal Heights armed robbery of two men nearly two hours later on the sidewalk concluded with the arrest of 19-year-old Josue Dominguez, of San Francisco, according to police.
