Man Fatally Shot While Riding Motorcycle

SF: SHOOTING VICTIM DIES AT HOSPITAL

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)

A man died at San Francisco General Hospital on Saturday night after he was shot while riding a motorcycle near the city's Silver Terrace neighborhood, police said today.

Officers responded to the shooting at about 7:20 p.m. at Bayshore Boulevard and Industrial Street and found the victim, a man in his 20s, suffering life-threatening gunshot wounds, San Francisco police Sgt. Wilfred Williams said.

He was transported to the hospital and pronounced dead a short time after arriving. The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of his family, a San Francisco medical examiner's office investigator said.

A preliminary investigation indicates the man was riding a motorcycle when a suspect pulled up in a vehicle behind him, got out of that vehicle and shot the victim, Williams said.

The suspect vehicle then fled north on Bayshore Boulevard. No arrests had been announced as of this morning.

How did we jump from 59 to 64 so fast? Where there some unreported homicides?

Yeah, there were 5 homicides on the SFPD's crime maps that were never reported in the news. One at Van Ness and Market, one at 5th and Market, one on the 600 block of Battery, one in the tenderloin, and one in the mission.
