Man Shot In Fisherman's Wharf

SF: MAN SHOT, INJURIES NOT BELIEVED TO BE LIFE-THREATENING

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)

San Francisco police are investigating a shooting in the city this morning that hospitalized a man with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

The shooting was reported at about 3:35 a.m. near Bay and Taylor streets, according to police.

A couple suspects were arguing with the victim near the intersection when one suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the buttocks, police said.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for his injuries, according to police.

No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting as of 6 a.m., police said.

Sounds like it must have been right outside of the housing projects. It's my understanding that since the rebuild they've been fairly strict with who they let move into those units (since it's such a high tourist area) but maybe they haven't done such a good job lately as I've noticed more shady characters loitering nearby. Time to start tightening up standards again unless they want to go back to the days when tourists would get mugged waiting for cable cars...
