Two killings in S.F. in less than 24 hours

(07-16) 09:30 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- A man died in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood early today after being punched during an apparent robbery, the second homicide in the city in less than 24 hours.
The victim, whose identity hasn't been released, was punched numerous times shortly before 2 a.m. at Turk and Taylor streets. The assailant rifled through the man's pockets before fleeing, authorities said.
At about 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, police responding to reports of a man slumped inside a car found Darrin Mitchell, 33, dead of a gunshot wound on the 1200 block of Girard Street in the Visitacion Valley neighborhood, police said.
No arrests have been made in either slaying.
