S.F. police ID men arrested in fatal beating in Tenderloin

(07-17) 14:24 PDT SAN FRANCISCO -- San Francisco police have identified the two men arrested on suspicion of murdering a man in San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood.
Robert Hannah, 57, and Michael Cooper, 44, were booked in connection with the slaying early Wednesday of Richard Weiland, 53, police said today.
Weiland, who has no fixed address, reportedly had an altercation with a woman using a walker about 2 a.m. at Turk and Taylor streets. Weiland was then attacked by the suspects, who beat him and took his wallet, police said.
Both Hannah and Cooper were arrested on suspicion of murder. Cooper was also booked on suspicion of robbery.
