Man shot during attempted robbery

SF: MAN FLEEING ALLEGED ROBBERS SHOT IN ANKLE

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)

A man was shot in the ankle Thursday night in San Francisco as he attempted to run away from three men who allegedly tried to rob him, police said.

The victim was standing with another man near the intersection of Bayshore Boulevard and Sunnydale Avenue in the city's Visitacion Valley neighborhood at around 10:45 p.m., according to police.

Three men, reportedly between the ages of 16 and 19, attempted to rob the two men, prompting them to run away.

One man was shot in the ankle as he tried to flee and was taken to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.

No arrests have been made and an investigation into the shooting is underway.
