09/15/07 1:25 PDT

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN)

Two separate shootings occurred in San Francisco within 20 minutes of each other early this morning, authorities said.

One victim is suffering non-life threatening injuries from a shooting that occurred just before 12:30 a.m. between Amazon and Italy avenues in the city's Ingleside neighborhood, police said.

Another shooting was reported at 12:50 a.m. and took place at 6th and Harrison streets in the South of Market neighborhood, a fire dispatcher said.

That victim's condition is unknown at this time, the dispatcher said.

I always hate it when news organizations screw up the neighborhoods. The area around Amazon and Italy avenues is the Excelsior, not Ingleside.

Yeah, it's annoying when they do that. I read an article in the Chronicle a couple weeks ago, that reffered to the Alemany Housing projects as being in Ingleside, when it's actually in Bernal Heights.

Actually three shootings on Friday night- another one at York and 24th in the Mission on Friday night around 9:45 (we were at a house on York when it occurred). One man shot and one man grazed by the bullet...and I have yet to see anything about it on the news! The police at the scene suspected it was gang related.
